The Rod (or pole/perch) was historically used in land surveying and agriculture. Measuring exactly 16.5 feet, rods were commonly used to define property boundaries. A standard American football field is 320 rods long (including end zones). This unit still appears in some property deeds and agricultural measurements. The Millimeter (mm) is perfect for very small measurements like the thickness of a credit card (0.76 mm), the diameter of a pencil lead (0.5-0.7 mm), or the size of small hardware components. Commonly used in engineering, jewelry design and manufacturing.
To convert between Rod (rd) and Millimeter (mm), use the following formulas:
1 Rod (rd) = 5029.2 Millimeter (mm)
1 Millimeter (mm) = 0.00019883878151594686 Rod (rd)
1 rd = 1 * 5029.2 mm = 5029.2 mm
2 rd = 2 * 5029.2 mm = 10058.4 mm
5 rd = 5 * 5029.2 mm = 25146 mm
10 rd = 10 * 5029.2 mm = 50292 mm
20 rd = 20 * 5029.2 mm = 100584 mm
50 rd = 50 * 5029.2 mm = 251460 mm
Rod (rd) | Millimeter (mm) |
---|---|
1 rd | 5029.2 mm |
2 rd | 10058.4 mm |
5 rd | 25146 mm |
10 rd | 50292 mm |
20 rd | 100584 mm |
50 rd | 251460 mm |
