The Rod (or pole/perch) was historically used in land surveying and agriculture. Measuring exactly 16.5 feet, rods were commonly used to define property boundaries. A standard American football field is 320 rods long (including end zones). This unit still appears in some property deeds and agricultural measurements. Interplanetary distances (Jupiter is 588 Tm from the Sun). Mostly for astrophysics research.
To convert between Rod (rd) and Terameter (Tm), use the following formulas:
1 Rod (rd) = 5.0292000000000004e-12 Terameter (Tm)
1 Terameter (Tm) = 198838781515.94687 Rod (rd)
1 rd = 1 * 5.0292000000000004e-12 Tm = 5.0292000000000004e-12 Tm
2 rd = 2 * 5.0292000000000004e-12 Tm = 1.0058400000000001e-11 Tm
5 rd = 5 * 5.0292000000000004e-12 Tm = 2.5146000000000003e-11 Tm
10 rd = 10 * 5.0292000000000004e-12 Tm = 5.0292000000000006e-11 Tm
20 rd = 20 * 5.0292000000000004e-12 Tm = 1.0058400000000001e-10 Tm
50 rd = 50 * 5.0292000000000004e-12 Tm = 2.5146000000000003e-10 Tm
